Notes, emails and attachments can move from Dynamics 365 to SharePoint under the same roles. If you pay for extra Dataverse storage today, that cost can fall away.
How it works
Files count against Dataverse
Attachments stored in Dynamics 365 use Dataverse file capacity: a base quota plus about 2 GB per licence.
Doclave moves them to SharePoint
Under the same role-based access, if you choose to. Users still open them from the record.
Capacity is freed
Dataverse keeps the data that belongs there. Files sit in SharePoint, which includes far more capacity.
